Our bodies are archives of experience—some kind of songs, books written in sensation and expression. This reflection shapes how we move through the world - in how we shift our weight, say hello, exchange and make meaning.
My creative practice explores human connection, communication and the beauty of expression through various activities.
I aim to (co-) create transformative spaces that bring people together, which can invite new relationships and understandings, and restore a sense of connection. This wish ripples through my work as a maker, teacher, and performer.
I seek to meet - a place, a person, a question. Every creation begins with a sense of wonder'; what follows is born from context and unfolds in dialogue with the environment. Dance serves as my main language, I am drawn to its rawness, its spark of authenticity, and the joy and presence it enables within people. I now explore multidisciplinary work, weaving the physical expression of the body with visual narratives—colors, textures, and stories.
Each research has a process valued signature and is a quest to archive and remember connection through shared material, movement and moment.

My artistic practice is rooted in a foundation built through study and performative experience.
My dance education began at Fontys Art Academy Tilburg (2010–2014) which was followed by the Fighting Monkey practice (2015–2025), a major inspiration and influence on my physical development, creative reflection and overall perspective on life.
Fighting Monkey is developed by founders Jozef Frucek and Linda Kapetanea through a deep study of cross motion analysis, aiming to understand the principles of human movement, communication, and the ageing process. As of 2017, I’'m active as an Inspire by FM ® instructor/practitioner at dance universities and contexts. My long-term role as a performer and co-creator in The100Hands (2015–2025), a company known for its interactive and site-specific work, was essential to my development. This relationship taught me how to build accessible spaces for presence, fostering an understanding of audience interaction that informs my creative practice today.
Building upon these foundations, I have collaborated with other choreographers as a freelance performer. In 2018, I transitioned to creating my own work as a dancemaker, structuring participatory research projects. I connected with Krump (2024), a dance style and community which sparked a profound shift and an ongoing personal journey.
All these exchanges—whether through deep conversations or movement sessions —have allowed me to meet beautiful people, and continue to offer me thoughts and actions to …

PERFORMATIVE EXPERIENCE AND COLLABORATIONS
About
© photo by Dior Riet Jade is active as a performer, maker and teacher working at the intersection of movement, interaction, and experience. Her practice weaves between various activities but always returns to dance and a deep curiosity about human connection and communication.
She began her dance education at Fontys Art Academy (2010–2014), which led her to the Fighting Monkey practice (2015–present), a major influence on her approach to movement and embodiment. For the past ten years Jade has been a core-member of The100Hands, known for its interactive and site-specific work.
Jade is currently developing her own artistic voice, creating accessible, transformative spaces that explore themes of social connection, wonder, and shared experience. Her work invites audiences into interactive performances and informal settings—spaces designed to spark curiosity, openness, and new encounters. Since 2021 she has been immersed in the project Cracking the Shell of Dance—an ongoing exploration into the origins of the motivation to dance.
Next to her journey as a young maker, Jade works as a freelance performer and Inspire by FM instructor, teaching at various dance universities, hosting group workshops and individual coaching sessions. Her wish is to foster playful environments where we can collectively explore and learn about ourselves and one another through our sense of embodiment.
