PROXIMITY FROM A DISTANCE
-
During Kaapstad Tilburg, DaybyDay hijacks a space in the Heuvelstraat, revealing a dimension only visible through another artwork: De Periscoop/Instituut voor Volkswarmte. Through this lens, different duos in Miniatures experiment with making physical contact. What does this mean today? How do we navigate touch, and is it a normal way to connect again after the pandemic? Various Tilburg residents, young and old, participate in exploring this theme by dancing together.

DAYBYDAY is Jade’s first initiative (2020), centered on 24-hour research projects. As a maker, Jade seeks to create new spaces for local dialogue and meetings, viewing the dancing body as a instrument of communication. Each project is a 24-hour exploration where participants are invited to join and share the results with an audience. For Jade, the process itself becomes the product.
