About
Jade is active as a performer, maker and teacher working at the intersection of movement, interaction, and experience. Her practice weaves between various activities but always returns to dance and a deep curiosity about human connection and communication.
She began her dance education at Fontys Art Academy (2010–2014), which led her to the Fighting Monkey practice (2015–present), a major influence on her approach to movement and embodiment. For the past ten years Jade has been a core-member of The100Hands, dance company known for its interactive and site-specific work. As both performer and co-creator, this collaboration has shaped her artistic development and encouraged her to step forward as a maker.
Jade is currently developing her own artistic voice, creating accessible, transformative spaces that explore themes of social connection, wonder, and shared experience. Her work invites audiences into interactive performances and informal, welcoming settings—spaces designed to spark curiosity, openness, and new encounters.
Through her practice, Jade hopes to contribute to micro-transformations: small shifts in thought or feeling that can ripple outward, a subtle new perspective or energy that can have an impact on how we relate to each other and the world around us.
Since 2021 she has been immersed in the project Cracking the Shell of Dance—an ongoing exploration into the origins of the motivation to dance.
Next to her journey as a young maker, Jade is active as a freelance performer and Inspire by FM instructor, teaching at various dance universities, hosting group workshops and individual coaching sessions. As a teacher she wishes to collectively explore and learn about life through our sense of embodiment.
