miniatures
day by day project
proximity but from a distance
During Kaapstad Tilburg, DaybyDay hijacks a space in the Heuvelstraat that can only be seen through another art work: De Periscoop/Instituut voor Volkswarmte. In Miniatures different duos experiment with making contact, what does this mean today? How do we work with touch, is that normal again or not? Various Tilburg residents, young and old, participate in exploring this theme while dancing together.

DaybyDay is Jade’s first initiative (2020) as a maker and carries out 24 hour research projects. Jade wants to create more space and opportunities for new local meetings in which she sees the dancing body as an instrument for communication. Each project consists of 24 hours, spread throughout a certain period of time, particpants are invited to join and share the endresult with an audience. The process is the product.
