Odes to Dance is a project consisting of three dance solos, created in collaboration with Chilton Galimo, Monique Beers, and Rodney Kasandikromo. During the residency, each dancer worked with Jade for three days, sharing personal experiences and perspectives on how dance is present in their lives. They brought their own stories, music, curiosity, and inspiration, which, in dialogue with Jade, were translated into 10-minute solo performances.

This project is part of the broader research Cracking the Shell of Dance—an ongoing exploration into the origins of the motivation to dance. As dance speaks from the body and our sensory experience, the possible meanings are always moving and growing. Through this research, Jade develops seasonal projects that invite people to participate, with the aim of celebrating the joy and impact of dance by bringing people together.
